Supertramp - Retrospectacle: The Supertramp Anthology (2005) EAC Rip | FLAC (Img) + Cue + Log ~ 545 Mb | MP3 CBR320 ~ 195 Mb Scans Included | RAR 5% Recovery Art Rock, Progressive Rock, Pop Rock | A&M Records #602498869345 Retrospectacle - The Supertramp Anthology, also known as Gold in the U.S., is the first comprehensive compilation album by the English rock band Supertramp, released in October 2005. As Supertramp's first career retrospective, Retrospectacle contains a compilation of the most popular songs, live tracks and favourite album tracks from all of their albums from Supertramp to Slow Motion, including the live albums Paris and It Was the Best of Times. It was released as either a single disc or a double album. Also, Retrospectacle marks the first appearance on an album of the single "Land Ho" and its B-side "Summer Romance". The version of "Land Ho" used on the compilation is the 1975 remix which the band intended to use on Crisis? What Crisis? but left off at the last minute, while "Summer Romance" is the original mix from the single. "Land Ho" was later rerecorded by Roger Hodgson for his 1987 solo album Hai Hai (with new lyrics). Classic Rock ranked Retrospectacle the 12th greatest compilation album of 2005. Track List: 01. Selling - On Reflection (2018) WEB FLAC (Tracks) 188 MB | Cover | 41:32 | MP3 CBR 320 kbps | 95 MB Alternative, Electro | Label: City Slang A unique collaborative venture by two giants of the electronic music world, Selling is comprised of Gold Panda and Jas Shaw, one half of techno titans Simian Mobile Disco. The two met a decade ago, and their musical alliance was initially forged when Jas Shaw took time out from SMD activities to mix Gold Panda's 2010 opus Lucky Shiner. Recorded at Jas' studio in Kent during 2017, On Reflection ably characterises the warmth, melody and emotion that is infused in all Gold Panda records and adds in a dizzying array of techno and synth styles. Across its concise nine tracks and 42 minutes, On Reflection showcases the duo's full mastery of the genre, moving seamlessly from the undulating, driving washed-out techno of Dicker's Dream, to the sweet, shimmering ethereal beauty of Keeping Txme. Selena Gomez - For You (2014)

Selena Gomez - For You (2014) WEB | FLAC (tracks) - 438 MB | MP3 (CBR 320 kbps) - 134 MB | 51:58 Genre: Pop | Label: Hollywood Records Selena Gomez has been a lot of things in her short career - a Disney star, a steady source of tabloid fodder, an aspiring actress - but what sometimes gets overlooked is that, since 2009, she's been making really good records that put her right at the top of her generation of pop singers. For You collects some of the biggest singles and best songs from her four albums, her "duet" with Selena ("Bidi Bidi Bom Bom"), and a couple new songs as well. At her best, Gomez has a light and nimble vocal style that fits into a wide variety of styles and always delivers just the right level of emotion without ever overselling. She feels natural delivering sweet pop anthems like "Who Says," hitting the sad disco on "Round & Round," or rocking out a little on "Falling Down." Mostly, though, she sticks to danceable, slightly melancholic dance pop, and this collection makes clear just how good she is at it. The only ballad included is the newly recorded, very adult and real-sounding "The Heart Wants What It Wants," and she acquits herself well here too. The other new track is "Do It," a rollicking midtempo pop jam that's also very "adult," to the point that any preteens checking it out may need to have a few things explained to them. Gomez might not be a belter or have the electric personality of some of her contemporaries; what she does possess is style, a winning voice, and lots of good songs - as For You proves again and again. 6. Saffire-The Uppity Blues Women - Cleaning House (1996) EAC | FLAC | Image (Cue&Log) ~ 395 Mb | Mp3 (CBR320) ~ 164 Mb | Scans included | 01:05:55 Modern Acoustic Blues, Folk-Blues, Piano Blues, Female Blues | Label: Alligator | # ALCD 4840 Saffire are the most popular acoustic blues act in the world, with a diverse following that includes devotees of classic blues, folk and women's music. All four of their previous releases are among Alligator Records' top 20 best-selling titles. Cleaning House features mostly original material, complete with Saffire's earthy sound and bawdy lyrical observations. Another generally likable album from Saffire, Cleaning House contains plenty of the bold, sassy material (e.g., "Hungry Woman's Blues," "If Love Hurts, You're Not Doing It Right," "Tomorrow Ain't Promised") listeners have come to expect from the band that half seriously, half tongue-in-cheek, bills itself as the Uppity Blues Women. All three women take turns on lead vocals; Andra Faye McIntosh's singing is particularly enjoyable. The 17-song acoustic set includes five originals from band member Gaye Adegbalola, three originals from bandmate Ann Rabson, and a spirited variety of songs written by old-timers like Memphis Minnie and contemporary songsmiths like Rick Estrin. 7. Roine Stolt's The Flower King - Manifesto Of An Alchemist (2018) EAC | Flac(Image) + Cue + Log & MP3 CBR 320Kbps Inside Out Music, 19075899472 | ~ 439 or 165 Mb | Artwork(jpg) -> 29 Mb Progressive Rock Not quite a continuation of the Flower Kings, nor a totally new project, but probably a pimped out version of his solo work, charismatic Swedish multi-instrumentalist Roine Stolt returns with 2018's `Manifesto of an Alchemist'! The ex-Kaipa, Kaipa da Capo and The Sea Within composer here delivers an eclectic and diverse prog-rock crossover work that doesn't just simply fall back on the symphonic-prog approach perhaps expected of the artist, instead he incorporates plenty of blues, pop smarts and classic rock song-writing that highlights his social, political and spiritual observations, and it also boasts musical contributions from superior musicians such as bassist Jonas Reingold, drummer Marco Minnemann and others, as well as singers Nad Sylvan and Hasse Froberg. After `Rainsong's dreamy vocal fragment introduction, `Lost America' opens properly with chugging riffing, Max Lorentz' sparkling electric piano and trickles of Hammond organ, Jonas' sweetly murmuring bass and Roine's charmingly accented raspy croon, and while much of the tune isn't particularly memorable, there's also plenty of tasty bluesy guitar playing from Stolt and the second half smoulders in all sorts of directions. The eerie `Ze Pawns' holds drowsy and weeping guitar strains over icy Mellotron slivers and desperate bursts of dramatic tension, Roine offering a melancholic vocal and sombrely cryptic lyric, and the twelve-minute `High Road' will remind many of the Flower Kings with its delirious, joyful, whimsical and kaleidoscopic approach. Hasse Froberg even pops up to sing alongside Stolt on the piece, and there's no shortage of unpredictable psychedelic interludes, dreamy harmonies and colourful soloing (and its damn cool to hear Roine play some big fat Rickenbacker bass on this one!). Finally, `Rio Grande' is the first of three purely instrumental pieces that really take the disc even higher, and it initially burns with a jazz-fusion-like fire by way of rumbling drumming, splintering electric piano runs and strangled guitar, but there's an exquisite Mellotron-lifted ethereal passage in the middle that drifts into unhurried heavens of bliss with joyous Moog spins and victorious guitar reaches. The poppier `Next To A Hurricane' holds traces of Roine's idol Prince in its chorus and guitar soloing, and instrumental `The Alchemist' grooves with jazzy vibes and exotic sax soloing from guest Rob Townsend (and the piece probably wouldn't have sounded out of place on the Flower Kings' fusion-heavy `Unfold the Future'). The divine and placid ballad `Baby Angels' could almost pass for a Beach Boys `Sunflower'-era outtake, and `Six Thirty Wake-Up' is a final instrumental that emerges gently with tranquil flute, shimmering organ and embracing guitar comforts. The politically- charged ten minute `The Spell Of Money' closes the disc, and it bristles with an emotional heaviness and lurking menace, constantly reprising a frantic chorus and closing on grandiose guitar wailing full of defiance. Roine's thoughts in the accompanying booklet of `Manifesto...' state how he and the other players were happy to keep less than perfect performances and unfished instrumental ideas from the recording sessions because they still captured plenty of spontaneity, and that mentality shines throughout the entire sixty-nine minute CD/LP. A disc that grafts a vintage sensibility to a firmly modern sound, Stolt and his friends have delivered a surprisingly fresh, gorgeously melodic and infectiously uplifting work with `Manifesto of an Alchemist', and it subtly proves to be one of the prog highlights of the year - long live the king/s! Four stars. Tracklist: 01. Rainsong 02. Lost America 03. Ze Pawns 04. High Road 05. Rio Grande 06. Next To A Hurricane 07. The Alchemist 08. Baby Angels 09. Six Thirty Wake-Up 10. 9. Ray Conniff And The Singers - We Wish You A Merry Christmas (1962) EAC | FLAC | Image (Cue&Log) ~ 193 Mb | Mp3 (CBR320) ~ 77 Mb | Scans included Easy Listening, Vocal Pop, Christmas | Label: Columbia | # CK 8692 | Time: 00:31:14 Between 1957 and 1968, Ray Conniff had 28 albums in the American Top 40. He started out at Columbia Records as their home arranger, backing artists such as Rosemary Clooney, Johnny Mathis, and Johnnie Ray, with his orchestra and was eventually offered the chance to do his own record. We Wish You a Merry Christmas is packed with traditional holiday tunes that Conniff and his (25) Singers wove into a series of medleys. This album has a retro studio sound, which, upon listening, may conjure up images of Lawrence Welk singers strolling the stage, dressed in matching holiday garb. Sometimes melodramatic ("Ring Christmas Bells"), other times, bright and exuberant ("Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!"), it's good, clean fun for the whole family and a solid addition to any Christmas catalog. Ray Conniff was only a step or two above Lawrence Welk, where edginess is concerned, on the easy listening scale, and it is true that his albums could often have a sort of bland, soulless quality in their weakest moments. Nevertheless, there is something undeniably lovely about the orchestral and vocal arrangements on many of his albums, and that is never more so the case than on We Wish You a Merry Christmas. Even if you ignore the album's holiday aim, it is possibly Conniff's single finest recorded moment, with an incomparably strong choral vocal performance from his Singers. You cannot really segregate the music from its purpose, however, and to do so would be to gloss over the album's single greatest attribute: its timeless, sparkling mood. It remains as fresh, in its way, 30 years later as it was on the day that it was recorded. Moreover, it can rightly be called a Christmas classic. While most of Conniff's music has drastically dated, some of it quaintly and some of it rather embarrassingly, few albums have come along in the subsequent years that have better captured the sort of sprightly holiday joie de vivre present on the album, nor its wonderfully exuberant, almost guileless charm. There is a nostalgic cast to the music, even if you aren't exactly certain what you are being nostalgic about. It instantly invokes the kind of old-time Christmases that existed in the pre-urban sprawl past (sleigh rides, ice skating on rural rivers, carolers moving from house to house), even if you never actually experienced them yourself and even if they no longer exist in quite that same way anymore, or were rosy fictions in the first place aside from on tree ornaments and in Andy Williams television specials. On strictly musical terms, the backing is mostly unobtrusive, a pleasant but rather conventional orchestral backdrop. Still, the music is delicately played and always pretty. That prettiness is simply overshadowed by wonderful arrangements, particularly the vocal arrangements. In addition to a wonderful take on "Ring Christmas Bells" and one of the few recorded "Twelve Days of Christmas" that doesn't ultimately grow irksome, Conniff spliced together four expert medleys for the album. But the superior singing is what makes the album so special. The Singers effortlessly pull off intricate rounds ("Ring Christmas Bells") and glorious harmonies throughout that seem tailor made for tunes such as "The Little Drummer Boy" and "O Holy Night." In places, they even almost manage to swing along with the orchestra. Hip or not, though (and it is not far often than it is), We Wish You a Merry Christmas is a gorgeous little gift package ringing with the season's jubilant spirit. Tracklist: 01. Medley (4:53) - 1a. 10. Phats & Small - Soundtrack To Our Lives (2004) EAC | Flac(Image) + Cue + Log & MP3 CBR 320Kbps BMG, 82876 51241 2 | ~ 391 or 127 Mb | Artwork(jpg) -> 94 Mb House / Dance The production team of Phats and Small found much of their success in lending a hand to the European rebirth of disco and progressive house. Brighton, U.K., natives Russell Small and Jason Phats gained popularity with the dance singles "Turn Around" and "Feel Good." Russell began his DJing career at 13 when he started his own mobile DJ business, being escorted by his father to weddings and parties. Small acknowledges the business did not last because of his dislike of slow ballads and his inability to stop swearing over the mic. Odds against him, Small turned his focus to DJing and house music. How exactly Russell and Jason met depends on who you ask, though the two have jokingly said they met on a Brighton dancefloor and instantly knew it was a production match made in heaven. The disco-driven 1999 release "Turn Around" reached number two in the national charts and was followed closely with the similar "Feel Good." In September of that same year, they did several remixes of Earth Wind and Fire's "September" and released it under the title "September 99." Now Phats What I Small MusicPhats and Small are often grouped with other commercial dance artist and longtime friend Fatboy Slim (Norman Cook), as they are both from Brighton and have brought a lot of attention to the English suburb. Phats and Small have brought large numbers to the town with their monthly club night, Mutant Disco, at Brighton's Zap Club. In 1999, Phats and Small released their first full-length, Now Phats What I Small Music, with the help of singer Big Ben, whose voice is featured on both "Turn Around" and "Feel Good." Probably their best album ! It's a more Pop-dance friendly album, with strong songs you can sing along all day long... In this album you obviously find their best pop song "Sun comes out" which starts with a slow introduction and then moves to an infectious Rhythm. Other tracks are also songs that could have been hits : "Maybe Tonight", "Night Like Dis"n If Only You", "Keep On Loving You"... Even the Eurythmics cover (A big song by the original duet) is worth the wait and not too destructive! Tracklist: 01. Sun Comes Out 02. Maybe Tonight 03. Bling Bling 04. Night Like This 05. DKUK 06. 13. Motörhead - The Complete Best Of Motörhead (2003) EAC | Flac(Image) + Cue + Log & MP3 CBR 320Kbps Victor, VICP-62264 | ~ 605 or 188 Mb | Artwork(jpg) -> 53 Mb Heavy Metal, Hard Rock, Rock & Roll Motörhead were an English rock band formed in June 1975 by bassist, singer, and songwriter Ian Fraser Kilmister (1945-2015), professionally known by his stage name Lemmy, who had remained the sole constant member. The band are often considered a precursor to, or one of the earliest members of, the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, which re-energised heavy metal in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Despite this, Lemmy had always dubbed their music as simply "rock and roll". To its end, Motörhead had released twenty-three studio albums, ten live recordings, twelve compilation albums and five EPs. Usually a power trio, they had particular success in the early 1980s with several successful singles in the UK Top 40 chart. The albums Overkill, Bomber, Ace of Spades, and particularly No Sleep 'til Hammersmith, cemented Motörhead's reputation as a top-tier rock band. As of 2012, Motörhead have sold more than 15 million albums worldwide. Motörhead are typically classified as Rock N Roll by Lemmy and band members, and their fusion of punk rock into the genre helped to pioneer speed metal and thrash metal. Their lyrics typically covered such topics as war, good versus evil, abuse of power, promiscuous sex, substance abuse, and, most famously, gambling. The name "Motörhead" is a reference to users of the drug amphetamine. The band's distinctive fanged-face logo, with its oversized boar's tusks, chains, and spikes, was created by artist Joe Petagno in 1977 for the cover of the Motörhead album and has appeared in many variations on covers of ensuing albums. The fanged face has been referred to variously as "War-Pig" and "Snaggletooth". The band is ranked number 26 on VH1's 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock. When Lemmy Kilmister died in December 2015, Mickey Dee declared that Motörhead (officially) is disbanded. No more tours or albums will be made. Only the brand will survive for the future. Members: Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister (vocals, bass 1975-2015) Phil "Zoomster" Campbell (guitar, 1984-2015) Mikkey Dee (drums, 1992-2015) Past members: Matt Sorum (touring drummer, 2009) Tommy Aldrige (In studio recording most of the 'March Or Die' album, 1992) Michael "Wurzel" Burston (guitar, 1984-95) Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor (drums, 1975-84 / 1987-92) Pete Gill (drums, 1984-87) Brian Robertson (guitar, 1982-83) "Fast" Eddie Clarke (guitar, 1976-82) Larry Wallis (guitar, 1975-76) Lucas Fox (drums, 1975) Tracklist: 1. 14. Mogwai - Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will (2011) 2CD Japanese Edition EAC | FLAC | Image (Cue&Log) ~ 514 Mb | Mp3 (CBR320) ~ 196 Mb | Scans ~ 207 Mb Label: Hostess/Rock Action | # ROCKACT55CDXJ, HSE-30251 | Time: 01:25:28 Post-Rock, Experimental Rock Limited two CD edition including a bonus disc that contains the 23-minute track, "The Singing Mountain" (physical exclusive). 2011 release, the seventh album from the Scottish Post-Rockers. Mogwai was birthed in the halcyon days of the mid-'90s and helped Glasgow become one of the real bright spots in the musical universe again. Not everyone gets Mogwai, but that's what makes them great. Theirs is a majestic, powerful sound where barely a word is spoken yet it is the antithesis of background music. Album and song titles bemuse, confuse and delight in equal measure and live, they are utterly unstoppable. Recorded at Chem 19 studios with producer Paul Savage (who recorded Young Team). By the 2010s, post-rock had been around long enough that the style's artists could look back to their roots. Mogwai does that on Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will, from the title's bone-dry humor to the band's reunion with Young Team producer Paul Savage. The musical DNA of Young Team - and its definitive track "Like Herod" in particular - is everywhere on Hardcore Will Never Die, informing the doomy coda of "Too Raging to Cheers" as well as opening track "White Noise"'s graceful melodic arcs, which lure the listener in rather than making a grand statement. Indeed, the album carries much of its emotional weight in its keyboard melodies, whether it's the subtle soar of "Death Rays" or the more mournful tones of "Letters to the Metro." Compared to the epic sprawl of The Hawk Is Howling, Hardcore Will Never Die feels simpler and more structured. The album's rock songs, including "Mexican Grand Prix" and "San Pedro," feel almost like a theme Mogwai returns to throughout the album, with driving motorik rhythms and precipitous riffing that get heads nodding vigorously, if not exactly banging. Mogwai tease listeners with tantalizing glimpses of their full power as the album progresses with "Rano Pano"'s shimmering majesty and "How to Be a Werewolf"'s epic solo, but they save Hardcore Will Never Die's definitive onslaught for last. "You're Lionel Richie" combines the driest wit with the heaviest rock - a quintessential Mogwai move - as it builds from quasi-classical guitar figures to a scorching climax. As impressive as this moment is, it underscores how much smaller and subtler this album is than what came before it. While the album is far from rote, Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will certainly feels familiar; it may not be as immediately impressive as some Mogwai albums, but its back-to-basics approach makes it another fine addition to their body of work. Dominated by instrumentals, "Shot in the Back of the Head" is the most evocative of the bunch, seemingly pulled from an unreleased David Lynch film scored by the Afghan Whigs circa Gentlemen - a lament from a dustbowl, full of mournful slide guitar and dewy electric piano. Other than "Mistake" - a glum neo-post-punk rave-up that, despite its cathartic release, remains downcast - Moby leaves the vocals to a series of women (neighborhood chums, apparently) who each contribute to one song. The smoky 3-a.m. gospel whispers from throwback soul singer Leela James on "Walk with Me" steal the show. CD 1 Tracklist: 01. Division 02. Pale Horses 03. Shot In The Back Of The Head 04.
